Speak Life Ministry Ministry Purpose:
The purpose of this ministry is to bring the SOUND of praise and worship to the deaf, hard of hearing, autistic and mentally challenged in addition to those who hear but do not listen by way of Sign Language. To empower them in the knowledge of the Love of Jesus Christ as it relates to their individual and personal lives, as we also learn from this isolated community a deeper form of Praise and Worship in speaking two (2) languages simultaneously being as two (2) voices in one body giving Praise. To break through the walls of silence built up by separation of “The Hearing” and “The Deaf”.
Ministry Vision:
To equip a Multi Gender, Cultural, Generational Team of Spirit filled Signers to reach every facet of those impaired. To be an extension of every outreach ministry program of the Greater Shiloh Church.
Ministry Objective:
To make the “Hearing” aware and sensitive of the plight of the Non Hearing by reaching out to those affected inside and outside of the walls of Greater Shiloh Church. To encourage the hearing impaired to learn this “Secret” Language so they will be able to communicate by means other than writing. To encourage Young Adults who may lose their hearing due to loud music to add this language to life and to their resume in a Bilingual status. This will be accomplished through dedication, commitment, and prayer.
