MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES

Listed below are a few mental health resources to help you find the support that works for you and your loved ones:

BuddyHelp offers free emotional support and online therapy led by volunteers. It’s ideal for mild mental distress and emotional imbalance, but it’s not a substitute for professional therapy if you’re dealing with severe mental health conditions.

7 Cups provides a platform where you can chat anonymously with trained volunteer listeners for free. If you need more comprehensive support, they also offer affordable online therapy with licensed therapists. This service includes support for a variety of issues like depression, anxiety, relationships, and more

DRK Beauty Healing offers free and subsidized therapy specifically for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, South Asian, East Asian women, and non-binary people of color. This nonprofit was founded to address the unique challenges faced by these communities

Color Outside The Lines’ Mental Health project helps people feel better in their minds, especially if you’re having a hard time because of unfair treatment based on your race or not having enough money. This project lets people talk to a professional who knows a lot about feelings and problems. If you join, you receive 7 private talks with a therapist, at no cost to you.

Black Men Heal is a 501c3 grassroots nonprofit organization, that was established in 2018. It was created as a solution to a broken inequitable mental health care system that does not center the needs of marginalized black and brown communities.

No More Martyrs is a community awareness initiative that offers free mental health counseling, particularly focusing on the needs of Black women and girls. They offer both in-person and virtual counseling options.

Therapy for Black Girls is an online space dedicated to encouraging the mental wellness of black women and girls. This platform offers an opportunity to find culturally competent therapists and provides resources and discussions around mental health without stigma

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
